De Läbbel presents SLUM VILLAGE for the first time in Luxembourg!
Emerging from the dynamic streets of Conant Gardens in Detroit, Slum Village is not just a music group, but a close-knit brotherhood tied together by friendship and their shared musical passions. Established in the early 1990s by T3, Baatin, and the iconic J Dilla (also known as Jay Dee), the group quickly became a cornerstone in Detroit's hip-hop scene.
Guided by T3 and J Dilla's protégé and Grammy-nominated producer Young RJ, Slum Village has continued to innovate, creating acclaimed albums like "Trinity" with the hit track "Tainted" and "Detroit Deli" featuring the popular single "Selfish" with Kanye West and John Legend.
T3 and Young RJ have been instrumental in preserving and enhancing the group's legacy, leading to later albums such as "Villa Manifesto" and "YES" with posthumous productions from J Dilla. Today, Slum Village is a celebrated name in Detroit hip-hop. Over a decade of collaboration has seen T3 and Young RJ stay true to the group's founding ethos, injecting new life and infectious energy. Their recent works showcase their commitment to innovation and captivating audiences worldwide.
