Come and practice jazz with a teaching team of professional musicians during an intense week in the heart of Gaume and experience the 41st edition of the Gaume Jazz Festival from the inside!
The Gaume Jazz Workshop offers amateur musicians from all backgrounds the opportunity to learn or improve their jazz skills during an intense week in the heart of Gaume. As has been the case every year for many years, classes, workshops, and experimental combos offered by the team of professional musicians punctuate this residential workshop, available as a boarding or day student. In addition to the conviviality, human and musical encounters, the musicians are invited to experience and share the pieces they have composed on the Gaume Jazz Festival stage.

For amateur musicians*: teenagers & adults from 12 years old
*Min 4 years of playing an instrument / All instruments accepted!

On the program:
• Introduction to or improvement in jazz: courses, workshops, etc.
• Combos (writing, composition, arrangements)
• Jam sessions in the evenings
• End-of-course combo concerts on the Gaume Jazz Festival stage in Rossignol
The goal of the course is to offer a first approach to jazz, to discover its many facets (swing, bebop, rock, Latin, electro, world, etc.) or to perfect one's practice. With a focus on group work, ensemble lessons, and combos, this course also allows participants to participate in individual and group instrumental workshops within combos that will be performing in Rossignol at the Gaume Jazz Festival.
Good to know
The 2025 rates include:
– the educational cost of the course (teachers, materials, etc.),
– transfers to Gaume Jazz and the 3-day pass for the Gaume Jazz Festival for trainees,
– depending on the formula chosen, full board (for boarding school) or lunch and dinner (for day students).
For those under 30:
• Boarding school: €580
• Day school: €480
For those over 30:
• Boarding school: €630
• Day school: €530
