The travelling exhibition in French and German, shown from March 8 to September 15, 2025, at the National Museum in Esch-sur-Alzette, focuses on the life paths and experiences of the approximately 7000 women deported from France and Luxembourg to the Ravensbrück concentration camp under politically motivated repression. It highlights the diversity of these women's social and national backgrounds and illustrates how resistance and persecution were shaped by traditional gender roles. The multifaceted aspects of resistance, imprisonment, and survival are narrated through selected biographies.
