Following the provocative Hidden Paradise, presented in 2024, Alix Dufresne introduces us to a quirky quartet, joyfully embodying an impulsive humanity full of contradictions it struggles to embrace. A group of tourists bursts into a theater, disregarding decorum. Switching between awkwardness, euphoria, burlesque, and abandonment, the four companions encounter ordinary mishaps while pondering philosophical questions, at times clumsily. By portraying naive and impulsive characters, the performers gradually transform the stage into a playground brimming with possibilities. Through sharp stage writing, Alix Dufresne and Étienne Lepage challenge social and theatrical conventions, presenting complex, endearing, and disconcerting individuals who innocently explore the boundaries of our moral values.
