“It’s back to school!”
Depending on your family situation, reading this sentence may leave you indifferent, relieve you, or give you cold sweats. Expected by some, dreaded by others, this period never fails to briefly draw attention to the daily lives of families each year.
So for us, too, the opportunity is too good! Let's talk about Families, and see if, thanks to the Arizona government, the future looks as bright for them as it does for the major shareholders of our arms companies. Spoiler: no.
Families in Arizona - Poor Parents in an Ungrateful Society?
Have families become political targets? Is work still reconcilable with family life?
In a context which gives pride of place to sulphurous statements about large families and the supposed generosity they benefit from on the part of the regions, it seems that the efforts assumed by families to reproduce the workforce necessary for the capitalist economy no longer enjoy any form of recognition.
Worse, the task, repainted as an individual choice, of raising children and bringing them to adulthood is now increasingly hindered by reforms that condemn many families to precariousness.
Many questions then arise: Are families explicitly part of the long list of scapegoats designated by Arizona? Are we witnessing a simple adaptation of society to new family models, as claimed, or a directed precariousness of certain families? Is the government effectively taking charge of certain cases?
