"Phantasmatic Screens" explores, through symbolic landscapes, the theme of memory intertwined with exile. The installation "The Sojourn" (2023) honors filmmaker King Hu (1931-1997) and his wuxia films, revisiting locations and stories of a past shaped by hope and displacement. Tiffany Sia examines how images contribute to constructing historical and personal narratives, emphasizing discrepancies caused by memory and language.
