What is the most necessary nourishment for a child? Don’t search long—children need love to grow. But there are parents around the world who are toxic. They are thieves. They steal the love they are unable to give and often violate innocence. Often, they cannot give what they have not received, and the curse is passed from generation to generation.
To recover all the lost love, there is one way: painful, difficult, and long. One must go back to the source. This journey is told in "Les voleurs d’amour": a voyage toward our origins, the starting point for our fears and anxieties, to understand and break free. Through dreams, realities, nightmares, and testimonies, this play focuses on the karma of a family unit and tries to grasp the reasons behind these cycles.
Based on a moving original scenario by Nicolas Steil, Frank Hoffmann, assisted by a remarkable cast, brings the audience on a theatrical journey carried by emotional waves. Abused childhood is all too common to ignore. This play aims to show it is not a fatality.
