And now... let the music begin!
The federal contingent's brass band is the oldest professional wind orchestra in the Grand Duchy. The daily life of the musicians is not only characterized by military service. Their occasional serenades, participation in processions, funerals, award ceremonies, inaugurations, and other public events, as well as their charity concerts, are highly appreciated by the residents of the garrison towns. In addition to the batons of conductors Höbich and Zinnen and instruments such as a wooden transverse flute and a carillon, the exceptional organ of King Grand Duke William II is the focus of this guided tour.
