Sundays at the Museum!
Discover the Archaeological Museum of Audun-le-Tiche.
Housed in a former desacralized Protestant temple, the Archaeological Museum of Audun-le-Tiche presents the collections from the Pays-Haut Mosellan region.
You will find pieces from the Merovingian necropolis excavations in Audun-le-Tiche (classified as Historic Monument), as well as a remarkable collection of Gallo-Roman statues (heads of Minerva and Sirona, Jupiter Cavalier with anguiped, Apollo...).
You can also see the unique Latin cross pattée, registered as a Historic Monument.
The exhibition covers more than 300m² divided into 6 rooms, including a video projection, spanning from the Paleolithic era to the witch trials of the 16th century and the foundation of the Boch pottery in Audun-le-Tiche in 1748.
