This month we'll discuss "Piranesi" by Susanna Clarke, a book beloved by many and winner of several awards in 2020 and 2021, including a nomination for the Goodreads Choice Awards in Fantasy.
Summary: Piranesi's house is no ordinary building: its rooms are infinite, its corridors endless, and its walls are lined with thousands of statues, each different from the other. Within this labyrinth, an ocean is imprisoned, waves thunder up staircases, rooms are flooded in an instant. But Piranesi is not afraid; he understands the tides and the labyrinth itself. He lives to explore the house. Another person, called The Other, visits Piranesi twice a week seeking help with research into A Great and Secret Knowledge. As Piranesi explores, evidence of another person emerges, and a terrible truth begins to unravel, revealing a world beyond what Piranesi has always known.
