The Gaspar Museum invites you to discover an unprecedented selection of more than forty old posters, produced after 1860. As living witnesses of collective memory, these ephemeral documents tell the story of Arlon through its major events: art exhibitions, patriotic commemorations, cultural events, propaganda, and public sales.

Some of these posters, true works of art, bear the signature of local artists; others, more modest, feature utilitarian typography or popular lithography. All, however, fulfilled a vital function: to inform and engage, at a time when public poster displays were a central vector of urban communication.

Through this exhibition, a whole society is revealed — its tastes, its struggles, its celebrations, its visual codes. A graphic and historical journey to the heart of Arlon, its walls, and its memories.
