Every year, the day after Carnival, people gather to continue a wonderful Luxembourgish tradition: the Buergbrennen. The idea? To gather around a huge bonfire to say goodbye to winter and welcome spring in a warm and friendly atmosphere. In Differdange, the event is a real moment of sharing. At nightfall, the Buerg is lit and illuminates the sky while young and old alike enjoy the festive atmosphere.
Once there, you can warm up with hot drinks, enjoy delicious grilled food, and have a good time with friends, family, or local residents.
The Buergbrennen is much more than just a fire: it is a living tradition, a symbol of renewal and, above all, a wonderful opportunity to get together.
