"Antonio, el bailarín de España", by Paco Ortiz
It is said that at the age of 4, he danced in the streets in exchange for a few coins. By the age of 6, he had mastered the sevillanas, and by 7, he made his theater debut. At 8, he danced for kings and princes, and at just 16, he set out to conquer the Americas, triumphing in New York before he was 19. He perfected his style on Broadway and acted in 4 films in the mecca of cinema before returning to his homeland, even before he was 28, considered by many as "the greatest Spanish dancer of all time." Paco Ortiz, with his film, retraces the intense and passionate life of a unique man, Antonio Ruíz Soler, an essential figure for understanding Spanish dance and a faithful reflection of part of Spain's history in the 20th century.
