Formed in 2017 in Salford, YAANG was born from the meeting of Davey Moore (vocals/sampler) and Oliver Duffy (guitar/vocals), later joined by Ben White (ex-Working Men’s Club) on bass. The trio gradually established themselves on Manchester's independent scene thanks to explosive concerts, characterized by frenzied drum machine loops, abrasive guitars, and raw energy tinged with biting humor. Regularly playing to packed halls, including as headliners at YES in Manchester, YAANG has also impressed as the opening act for artists such as Maruja, Death From Above 1979, and Fat Dog, confirming their status as a new must-see name on the British alternative circuit.
