Charles Laib Bitton's paintings seek to establish, with restraint, an emotional dialogue between the viewer and the canvas. Rather than relying on cerebral analysis, his work invites a more personal and sensitive relationship with the image. His paintings capture the shifting moods and emotions of everyday life, focusing on the simple and sincere feelings that make us human. Bitton studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf (2018-2022) and the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Vienna (2016-2018). He has also completed residencies at the Van Gogh Huis Museum in Zundert (2019) and the Kala Art Institute in Berkeley (2017). His solo exhibitions include "Fringe" at Basho's Promise, Florence (2024), and "The Silver Medallion" at Super Super Markt, Berlin (2023).
