When digital logic meets mineral soul and disrupts tradition: Excel and algorithms are combined with the ancient craft of mosaic at an exhibition bringing together Guillaume Slizewicz and Françoise Lombaers at Subtile.
At the heart of "Game of Life" is a dialogue between two opposing worlds: the immutable tradition of earth and the fluid logic of algorithms. The exhibition centers around the TESSELLES project, a collaboration where ancient craftsmanship and contemporary technology enhance one another.
The artists explore emergence, showing how simple rules — whether dictated by clay’s properties or by code — generate complexity and organic beauty. You can discover over 100 pieces by a collective of artisans and artists inspired by earth and its diverse forms. Guillaume Slizewicz and Françoise Lombaers present a modern vision of mosaics, blending traditional techniques with digital innovation. Sophie Thomassin, with her intercultural vision, creates visceral ceramics, and Béatrice Pettovich explores the fragility of home through her sculptures, further enriching the exhibition.
Experience how art and technology merge to provide a rich and poetic visual journey.
