If you're looking for great ways to enjoy the summer around here, the Guttland region is undoubtedly the top destination: unique experiences, family outings, outdoor activities, and beautiful spots to explore… We've put together a list of the best ideas for outings right here: all you have to do is fill up your calendar ⛱️ 🇱🇺

IDEAS FOR THE WHOLE SUMMER
The hardest part might be deciding where to start... Because in Guttland, there are plenty of activities to choose from: guided tours on set dates (be sure to book in advance), workshops and local experiences, nature outings, animal encounters, sunset evenings, and bike rides or walks to enjoy the scenery at a leisurely pace 🚲
There’s enough variety for everyone to find something they’ll enjoy: families, couples, locals looking for something new, cross-border commuters, or expats in need of ideas!
Let us guide you through this ocean of things to do this summer 😎

GUIDED SUMMER TOURS - 1 DAY, 1 ACTIVITY
From July 21 to September 11, there’s a great reason to visit the Guttland region (almost) every day. The Guided Summer Tours invite you to discover the region in a whole new way: one activity per day, in small groups, and experiences that are out of the ordinary! And between sunset tours, creative workshops, and walks with animals, you’ll fill up your schedule in the blink of an eye 🫰🏻
A friendly tip: spots are limited, so if an activity catches your eye, don’t wait too long to book 📧
TUESDAY - Activities to enjoy with your kids and the whole family: creative workshops focused on slate or the Péckvillchen, or an immersive experience at Useldange Castle dressed as a knight 🏰 And if you’re torn between several activities… nothing’s stopping you from trying them all!
WEDNESDAY - Midweek, let’s slow down the pace: sunset yoga, a creative workshop, a nature hike… All in places that are definitely worth a visit 🧘🏻♂️
THURSDAY - Animals are the stars of the day. Whether it’s a visit to an ostrich farm, a walk with alpacas, or a tour of the farm, the kids leave with stars in their eyes… and so do the adults—we’re not afraid to admit it 🦙🐮🌾
FRIDAY - The Guttland region takes on a whole new look as night falls. Some tours take you to unique spots at sunset, while others transport you back to Roman times or reveal places that are usually off the beaten path. What a lovely way to end the week!

LËTZEBUERG, DAT ASS VAKANZ - FOR A LITTLE JOURNEY THROUGH TIME
As part of the “Lëtzebuerg, dat ass Vakanz!” campaign, Visit Guttland is highlighting local crafts this year! And to experience them firsthand, there’s no better place than the Thillenvogtei Museum in Rindschleiden!
Here, traditional craftsmanship is passed down in a fun and highly interactive way: woodworking workshops, bread-making, traditional village games, apple pressing, and even a glimpse into school life of the past. The variety of workshops transports you back to life as it was 100 years ago and turns history into a real-life experience 🍳🪵🍎
Throughout the summer, the museum also offers a program every Thursday that’s open to everyone. You can drop by without a reservation (or almost—so feel free to check by clicking the black button) and join in on the day’s activities! It’s a great thing to do whether you’re with family, friends, or just out exploring the area.
And for those who enjoy sharing these experiences: a contest allows you, until July 13, 11:59 pm, to win an activity for a group of up to 15 people. You choose your workshop, set the date, and enjoy a moment that's a bit out of time with your loved ones 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
SLOW CYCLING & GUTTLAND.TRAILS - SOFT SPORTS AND FRESH AIR
On foot, by bike, or just wherever the mood takes you, there are plenty of ways to explore Guttland. There are rides or walks for all skill levels, accessible routes, and, above all, a chance to get some fresh air!
Want to get a little exercise this summer without turning it into a CrossFit session? With Slow Cycling, you pedal at a leisurely pace, following routes - alone or with your family - that wind through villages, beautiful landscapes, and quieter spots, always with a good excuse to stop along the way, for a little picnic, for example 🚴🏻♂️🧺
It’s the same philosophy with Guttland.Trails: a whole host of trails that take you along paths through forests, past small streams or lakes, and offer breathtaking views 🫨
And here’s a fun fact: two of the hiking trails have been awarded the “Leading Quality Trails – Best of Europe, Day Walk” label by the European Ramblers’ Association. That just makes us want to lace up our shoes and grab our backpacks 🎒🥾
