If you have ever walked through the streets of downtown Thionville, you must have already seen this large stone building, shaped like a polygon. But what is it ? Well, it’s the Musée de la Tours aux Puces! Formerly the keep of the city's castle in the 11th century, the famous tower is today an archaeological museum! From the height of its almost 14 meters and its 14 polygon sides, this marvelous building accommodates 8 thematic rooms under its vaults, bringing together archaeological and collectible objects, ranging from Prehistory to the Renaissance. Not bad is not it ? The Merovingian, Gallo-Roman, Middle Ages and Metal Ages will no longer have any secrets for you! The little extra? Activities are often organized for little archaeologists.
