Heathen Apostles is an American gothic Americana band founded in 2013 in Los Angeles, blending country, bluegrass, blues, and rock to create a dark and cinematic atmosphere. The band stands out due to Mather Louth's enchanting voice and the eclectic playing of Chopper Franklin, a former member of The Cramps, thus infusing a punk and rockabilly touch into their musical universe. Drawing inspiration from western folklore and film noir, they compose songs rich in imagery and emotion. Their style, sometimes referred to as 'bloodgrass,' combines traditional sounds with modern, quirky influences. With several albums and EPs to their credit, they are considered a prominent act within the underground scene.
