The Jules Verne Centre, in collaboration with Irdecof, will screen the documentary The Umbrella of Brussels on June 8 and 9 at 3 p.m. The film reveals the small and large history of Europe's first monumental galleries, designed shortly after the birth of Belgium by their architect Jean-Pierre Cluysenaar. Sometimes little-known parts of the city and its galleries adjoining the Grand-Place are revealed to our astonished eyes. On this occasion, you can also discover the exhibition Alice Guy, the world's first filmmaker.
