Kampala percussion ensemble Arsenal Mikebe is made up of three traditional drummers, Ssentongo Moses, Dratele Epiphany and Luyambi Vincent de Paul, and was co-founded by the Portuguese musician and visual artist Jonathan Uliel Saldanha (HHY).

The trio have developed a heavy body style of drumming interspersed with soul vocals and jungle-infused trance. To achieve this sound, they use a custom percussion system created by the Ugandan sculptor Henry Segamwenge and seemingly made to raise the listener’s pulse rate. The result sounds highly electronic and acoustic at the same time and is just impossible to resist.

Music producer and artist Twin XXA, formerly known as AAMAR, sculpts complex avant-garde soundscapes, characterized by piercing industrial noise and twisted club rhythms. What began as a side project has, over the last few years, evolved into a distinct surreal conceptual identity and artistic vision.
