The walking route is approximately 11 km long and takes you through the magnificent forest, picturesque fields of our region, and the most beautiful landscapes of our commune. The route alternates between forest paths and country trails, with breathtaking views of the region. Please note that the route is quite steep in places and includes steps. It is not recommended to come with a stroller or wheelchair. We also recommend wearing comfortable shoes suitable for walking on uneven terrain. The Gourmet Heritage Walk is the perfect opportunity to rediscover the local heritage. Throughout the route, you can admire the historic monuments of our commune, such as the Saint-Martin Church or the Puttelange Castle. You will also discover the secrets of our heritage, such as the washhouse recently restored by volunteers or the Puttelange Cave.
The Gourmet Heritage Walk is also a gourmet event! Throughout the route, you'll have the opportunity to taste artisanal specialties prepared by our finest producers. Here's what awaits you at the various stages:
Aperitif: Enjoy local specialties prepared by the Cordel de Beyren restaurant, which needs no introduction.
Starter: Enjoy a cold pea soup (or hot depending on the weather) from "MME cuisinent", a caterer renowned for its homemade dishes.
Main Course: Treat yourself to a tender half chicken with sautéed potatoes, a classic that will delight your taste buds.
Cheeses: Discover a selection of delicious cheeses from the Blad farm, renowned for its artisanal and high-quality production.
Dessert: Finish off in style with an exquisite éclair prepared by Mayer Bakery in Rodemack.
Wines at all times, served in moderation. Alcohol will not be served to children under 18.
