Shade Sadiku Cumini is a visual artist from Luxembourg. Her work explores the intersection of surrealism, abstraction, and emotional intimacy, engaging with the fragility of both individual and collective cultural memory. Her visual language, often tender and intricate, addresses the vulnerability and resilience inherent in the experience of being a woman navigating structures of oppression. A member of the Afro-feminist Papaya Seeds Collective, Shade Cumini’s art challenges institutional and historical inequalities, fostering a discourse on an alternative future.
