Looking for peace, nature and a little adventure?
Climb aboard a solar-powered boat in Insenborn and explore Upper Sûre Lake, the country's largest drinking water reservoir. For about two hours, you'll cruise peacefully, learning about the area's history, the secrets of the local flora and fauna, and the importance of water conservation. Along the way, a short stop at the Burfelt Forest Discovery Centre allows you to delve even deeper into this preserved world, between forests, wild nature and local legends.
And if you want to take the adventure a little further, opt for the amphibian tour: a combined boat and hiking experience. You'll board in Insenborn for a guided boat trip, then continue on foot from Bärel for about 8 km along the left bank of the lake. You will follow the mysterious Hellekessel (surrounded by legends!), pass through the pre-dam towards Liefrange, and cross the Lultzhausen floating bridge to reach the right bank. All in 3.5 to 4 hours, for a complete tour of the lake, between water and marked trails.
Halfway between ecotourism, relaxation and discovery, this original activity is perfect for (re)discovering Luxembourg in a different way, with friends or family.
