On August 16 and 17, the Department of Moselle is organizing a commemorative event for the Battle of Gravelotte at the Museum of the War of 1870 and the Annexation. Over these two days, come and discover the history of this forgotten war and its consequences on the territories of eastern France, and step into the pages of history with an explosive program!
THE WEEKEND PROGRAM
Saturday, August 16 - Commemoration ceremony followed by the show “Le Bataillon dansant” by the Osmosis Company.
Sunday, August 17, starting at 10 a.m. - Enjoy activities for young audiences, reenactment camps, guided tours of the temporary exhibition “Libertés, les artistes et la paix de 1870 à nos jours” (Freedom, Artists, and Peace from 1870 to the Present), and the screening of a documentary on the War of 1870.
