Universal Freemasonry focuses on international connections. The Hôtel de la Loge building in Luxembourg, dating back to the 14th century, became part of the Merciers Corporation in the 16th century. It was damaged during the siege by French troops in 1684 and rebuilt before becoming the current seat of the Grand Lodge of Luxembourg in 1818. The visit includes its Masonic temple, the banquet hall, the belvedere with its library, and exhibits of artworks.
