On the edge of the Fagne-Famenne region, Wéris, one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia, enchants with its landscapes, legendary stones, and the best-preserved megalithic site in Wallonia! Between 3,200 and 2,500 BCE, Neolithic communities erected, over generations, a vast megalithic complex in the Famenne area, surrounding the present villages of Wéris and Heyd (Durbuy, Belgium). A first monument, "Wéris I", was discovered in 1879 and served as a collective burial site. Another, "Wéris II", was uncovered in 1888.
