To mark Heritage Days, the Jules Verne Centre will offer a tour of its premises, located in the former Roma cinema. The Rahm brothers, owners of several cinemas in Brussels, opened the Roma cinema in 1933, on the site of the former Astoria dance hall, at 65/67 Chaussée de Neerstalle in Forest. In the 1950s, it offered two programs per week in a 500-seat auditorium. The cinema closed in 1960; the front of the building was converted into apartments, while the auditorium was used as a workshop. In 2022, Michel Dircken, curator of the Brussels Museum of Fantastic Art, decided with his team to establish an art center dedicated to the world of Jules Verne there. Free admission.
