White squares, small, large & rainbow
White Squares boldly, ironically, and humanely explores the taboos and prohibitions surrounding sexuality and identity. Seated directly on stage, the audience loses the distance and perspective usually afforded by a theater. Spectators are placed at the heart of a mosaic of vivid and contrasting scenes, a performance that defies conventions while revealing the dramatic ironies and contradictions of our time.
Between pleasure and discomfort, humor and critical dissonance, the multiple situations presented probe unease and abnormality, inviting each person to question their own limits: unacknowledged desires, silent taboos and repressed cruelties.
