The exceptional career of officer Louis-Alphonse Munchen (1819-1881), who served in the Royal Dutch Army, the Federal Contingent, the Corps of Chasseurs and the Volunteers Company, spans almost the entire 19th century. Revolution, nation, and organization marked his life in service as much as family happiness, friendships, and losses. Known and unpublished exhibition pieces offer the opportunity to tell personal stories about the social and military challenges of Luxembourg at that time.
