Sophie Claisse, a photographer based in the province of Luxembourg, discovered photography in 2016, almost by chance, during a long-awaited trip. Quickly passionate, she trained through workshops and specialized courses, and became actively involved in the local photography community, notably with the Phothus photo club in Athus. Her journey led her to deepen what constitutes the heart of her artistic approach: the emotion evoked by the image. In 2021, she completed her practice with training in photo-therapy in Paris. Since September 2023, she has also been taking photography classes at the Académie des Beaux-Arts d'Arlon.

With the exhibition "Myanmar, pays oublié", Sophie Claisse uses photography as a tool for testimony and awareness. The images presented are from a trip made in 2019 and pay tribute to the country's beauty and the dignity of its inhabitants. Through this sensitive and committed series, the artist wishes to bring attention, humanity and emotion back to a forgotten people and territory.
