La Tour de Glace (#CinémathèqueUnreleased)
The 1970s. Jeanne runs away from her mountain home to the city. In the studio apartment where she takes refuge, the young girl falls under the spell of Cristina, the enigmatic star of "Frozen," her favorite fairy tale. A disturbing relationship develops between the actress and the young girl.
The film is steeped in a wonder inspired by early cinema and the crystalline power of silent film, creating a magnetic ballet where magic and artifice plunge Jeanne and the audience into a state of perceptual disturbance. There are echoes of Méliès and Cocteau in this work, whose beauty lies in the disarticulation of reality.
