Asterix and Obelix Exhibition: The Indomitable Exhibition
Asterix and Obelix hold an important place in the history of Franco-Belgian comics. Their world, mixing humor, adventure, and historical references, offers an offbeat reinterpretation of Antiquity, between Roman camps besieging the Gaulish village and travels around the world. The albums stand out by their puns, references to current events, and iconic characters such as Panoramix, Assurancetourix, or Abraracourcix, who have left a mark on generations of readers.
The exhibition looks back at the genesis of the series, introduces the main and supporting characters, and sheds light on the historical context in which their adventures take place.
The exhibition also highlights the many adaptations of Asterix and Obelix for cinema and television, with screenings of films like "Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion" and "Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra".
