On opening day, the biographical film Love+War about Lynsey Addario, produced by National Geographic and Oscar-winning filmmakers Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin, will be screened to the public at neimënster Abbey in Luxembourg City. Love+War traces Lynsey Addario's rise in the male-dominated world of war photography.
But her work is dangerous. She has been kidnapped twice while on assignment in war zones, a price she must pay every time she leaves her husband and two sons to go on assignment. Behind the camera, Addario is torn between her unwavering commitment to the essential work of journalism and the powerful and competing demands of motherhood, wrestling with what it truly means to follow her calling when it threatens everything she loves.
