In Tehran, followed by the camera of their uncle Massoud Bakhshi, three sisters — Mahya, Zahra, and later Maleka — grow from childhood games to adulthood in a society where social and religious norms define women's lives. From carefreeness to commitment, All my Sisters retraces 18 years of personal and collective evolution, revealing the aspirations for freedom and resistance of young Iranian women. Spanning the long and precious times of childhood and adolescence, All my Sisters gives the documentary form a remarkable ethical sense, allowing those filmed to freely express their perspective.
