Thirty years after leaving Bulgaria, Mihail—now an art curator in Montreal known as Michel—returns to his homeland at the request of a collector to appraise the work of Nina, an eight-year-old painter whose art is making waves online. This encounter brings back memories of his own daughter at the same age when they emigrated and compels him to face the consequences of their departure. "Nina Roza" meticulously explores our ties to our country of origin, blending art, memory, and exile in a study highlighted by Galin Stoev’s performance.
