Satanyc For Ever

Exhibition by CACLB, in partnership with the Maison de la Culture d’Arlon. This autumn exhibition is an important step for Daniel Daniel toward completing a cycle traced by an old dream that has inspired his creative journey. As a teenager, he and his brother built a ghost train by hand in their family garden. Since then, the fairground universe, especially ghost trains and funhouses, has continued to influence his work. Entering the space are fear and laughter, the absurd and the serious, the naive and the sophisticated, the funny and the cruel, the usual and the monstrous, the sincere and the simulated. There are lights in the darkness, colors on dark backgrounds, and a vital sense of humor embracing our mortal fate. At the Maison de la Culture d’Arlon, the exhibition hall will become a deeply dark setting: sculptures, paintings, strange or kinetic objects, illuminated by black light, will surprise visitors with unusual sounds or odd movements as they progress through a labyrinthine circuit. The artworks, from the walls or the floor, will welcome and observe the visitors, provoking the same reactions and emotions as if they became protagonists in a disturbing dream, a fun nightmare, or an old dream.
