Daily living activities after a stroke
The association Blëtz invites you to their Open Day: Daily living activities after a stroke at KulTourhaus in Huncherange.
Rehabilitation after a stroke should begin as early as possible. The main goal of occupational therapy in the case of stroke is to restore autonomy to patients. People concerned must learn to recover lost abilities, improve existing ones, and manage life with the remaining aftereffects. Daily activities such as personal care, dressing and undressing, transfers, and household tasks are practiced, as well as the use of assistive devices. Occupational therapy helps reduce the need for significant assistance. During a collective discussion, your questions will be answered.
With: Joëlle Kieffer, occupational therapist at CHEM and member of the scientific committee of Blëtz a.s.b.l.
