Join us for a Dig Deep improv jam! An open mic show where you can get on stage and perform, or simply sit back, relax, and be entertained by some amazing improvised theatre!
Improvisation sessions are the perfect opportunity to get on stage, play improvisation games, and perform scenes in a supportive and stimulating environment. They're the next step for beginner improvisers looking to improve. Perhaps you've already taken improvisation classes and would like to put your knowledge into practice, or you're looking for a new challenge and a good dose of adrenaline while making new friends? Now you can! Simply drop your name in the jar that evening. Once your name is called, you can go on stage and discover what it's like to improvise in front of an audience.
Your host, Melissa, will guide all the scenes and games, intervening as needed to ensure everyone feels comfortable and confident from beginning to end. A warm-up is planned at the start of the event to help everyone get at ease. If you prefer to remain in the audience and watch, that's perfectly fine; there's no obligation to go on stage.
So, invite one or two friends, book your tickets and meet us at the bar before and after the jam session to get to know the other improvisers.
How does it work?
If you want to have a jam session:
1) Have a drink
2) Throw your name in the jam jar
3) Sit in the audience and let yourself be entertained by the other improvisers.
4) When your name is called, jump on stage and have fun!
If you just want to watch: grab a drink, get comfortable and get ready to be entertained!
