This event will shed light on the figure of Melusina, an enigmatic character often mistakenly equated with a mermaid, but who has her own characteristics and a unique symbolic universe.

The legend of Melusina, which spread throughout central Europe in the Middle Ages, also influenced Italy, where it intersects with folklore, literature and the visual arts. The lecture will be given by Professor Maria Luisa Caldognetto, a specialist in Italian studies, involved in numerous research and cultural exchange projects. A recent publication on this topic will be discussed.

Following the conference, an Italian aperitif will be offered, creating an ideal setting for dialogue and conviviality.
