The Economy for the Common Good appears as the practical realization of core values such as humanity and the care for nature, which are also found in the heritage of religions and wisdom traditions. Its initiator, Christian Felber, developed a comprehensive alternative model in which money and markets once again serve people and the environment. This approach is inspired by a vision of a democratic common good society, where social cohesion and ecological responsibility are top priorities. It has not remained just a theory but has become a growing, international movement. Raymond Aendekerk, the current president of the Economy for the Common Good Luxembourg ASBL, and Gregor Waltersdorfer, consultant for the Economy for the Common Good, have been active in this field for several years. They co-founded the association in 2019 and illustrate with practical examples how this model works and how it can transform our current economy, which is based on competition. It is noteworthy that many organizations and communities around the world are already successfully applying this approach.
