Workshop on editing and publishing - Archivorum
As part of the exhibition ΙΣΤΟΣ / WEB – Contemporary Artists' Books, Archivorum will offer a workshop open to all. Archivorum is a platform dedicated to the preservation and transmission of artists' archives through research, teaching and publishing, with a particular focus on contemporary art books.
For this workshop, Émilie Lauriola, head of the Archivorum library in Turin, will introduce participants to artistic practices related to publishing. After a brief introduction to the artist's book, she will guide the audience between theory and practice, exploring the conceptualization and creative processes of a publication. From Xerox fanzines to limited-edition sculptural books, and drawing on numerous examples from the Archivorum collection, the workshop will examine the various forms that the artist's book can take and allow participants to imagine their own publication.
