The Centre Pompidou-Metz pays tribute to François Morellet (1926–2016) with an unprecedented retrospective, the largest ever dedicated to the artist, bringing together one hundred works spanning more than seventy years of creation. The exhibition reveals a free and ironic spirit, moving between mathematics and chance, tracing his evolution from figurative painting to concrete art and optical perception. It is part of the national program 100 x Morellet, launched for the artist's centenary, with exhibitions and events throughout France.
