The strange and wonderful states of consciousness such as trances, dreams, and visions have always been sources of inspiration for artistic creation and breakthroughs in many fields of human activity. Sometimes, as in immersive photosonic concerts, the artwork is found in the experience and participation of the audience. These states – night dreaming, trance, and contemplation – provide opportunities to reconnect with one's inner life and ecstatic imagination.
