On their much-anticipated new album, "Two Wheels Move the Soul," Robber Robber wade through the discomfort of class, upheaval, and catastrophe. Written across couches and attics following a landlord’s call to have founding members Nina Cates’s (vocals/guitar) and Zack James’s (percussion) longtime home demolished, the record wastes no time indulging in late-stage capitalism’s miseries, opting instead to resolve disaster with a cool composure. An overwhelming sense of imminent disaster hangs over "Two Wheels Move the Soul"; every scribble on the guitar thins the air and each stab of percussion intensifies the mood.
