Art Course: Colour and Expressiveness (all media, beginner and intermediary)

Alvaro Marzan proposes a course based on personalised support for each student, taking into account their starting point, interests and objectives, and focusing on three main aspects:
- the use of colour as the foundation of the pictorial image: the colour wheel, colour harmonies,
- the use of complementary, cool and warm colours, distinguishing and categorising their basic qualities (hue, saturation and brightness).
- aspects such as composition, ‘weight’, balance and imbalance, depth, etc.
- knowledge of materials: watercolour, oil, pencil, ink, canvas, cardboard, paper..., understanding their specific qualities and applications, exploring their expressive possibilities, adapting them to one’s own artistic practice.
- exploration of the creative process: inspiration, references, spontaneity, using mistakes and accidents as opportunities, personal research.
The course is fundamentally practical.
Alvaro speaks English, French and Spanish.
COURSE OBJECTIVE
Familiarisation with colour and technique in order to develop one’s own style.
