An evening with Luisa Bevilacqua, Robert Weis and Florent Toniello. Swiss writer Nicolas Bouvier (1929-1998), renowned for his travel literature, wrote poems throughout his lifetime journeys across the globe. He published only one poetry collection during his lifetime, "Le Dehors et le Dedans" (Wat baussen a wat bannen, in Luxembourgish), consisting of 44 texts written between 1953 and 1997, which have been reissued and supplemented over time. This classic of travel literature is now available in Luxembourgish, translated by Robert Weis and Florent Toniello and published by Michikusa Publishing with the support of Nico Helminger. During the evening, Luisa Bevilacqua will read poems by Nicolas Bouvier in Luxembourgish and discuss with the translators about Bouvier's poetry, travel as a metaphor for life, and Luxembourgish as a literary language.
