The group exhibition "ΙΣΤΟΣ / WEB – Contemporary Artists’ Books" explores the transformation of the artist's book in today's digital environment through works by sixteen contemporary Greek and Luxembourgish artists. The exhibition is conceived as a spatialized artist’s book, transforming the Cercle Cité exhibition space into a multimedia environment. Video projections, sculptures, photographs, digital works, mixed techniques, and poetic interventions come together to create an immersive experience in which the book becomes a holographic experience and an experiential library.
The inclusion of a selection of artists’ books from the collections of the National Library of Luxembourg enriches the exhibition, synthesizing haptic embodiment and abstraction. The sixteen participating artists invite reflection on the value of the artist’s book in the face of digital challenges: between materiality and immateriality, archives and the cloud.
