We make a 'Wësch' – discovering intangible cultural heritage

We will soon celebrate Léiffrawëschdag, a very special festival in Luxembourg, which pays tribute to nature, life and the community. In the past, it was an opportunity to express gratitude for the gifts of nature and hope for a good harvest. For this purpose, people would create a 'Wësch', made of herbs, cereals, and vegetables. Today, we will also prepare an herb bouquet! With flowers, ribbons, and other treasures from nature, children can bring a flower, a ribbon, or a symbol they made themselves. Together, we will assemble everything into a large, colorful bouquet. Activity suitable for children aged 6 to 12.
