Because, it’s well known that Belgians don't do things halfway, the festivities don't take place on one day but two. It is the least we can do to celebrate the oath taken by our dearest King Leopold - remaining faithful to the constitution, right?

Everything starts for you on July 20th:

Then, there are two choices available to you! Either go listening the National Orchestra of Belgium at BOZAR (8:00 pm), because a little bit of classical music is always a good idea, or you can go to the Jeu de Balles Square for THE evening of National Day: The National Ball (7:30 pm).

It's the place to be! The biggest popular ball in Belgium returns for its 16th edition and you’ll be able to shake your booty like no other. On the program: show your amazing dance moves with a large organized flash mob (be careful not to get your feet tangled-up) and go on with the festivities: a free concert that will be a hit. Le Grand Jojo (true Belgian institution) will even sing its famous songs at 9:40 pm. Wiggle into the end of the night and enjoy the many bar and food stalls! 🍟

How is it on 21th?

So? What do you think about the evening? First thing in the next morning, is to go get a delicious coffee on the go! Your schedule of the day is full.

All day long, your favorite city is transformed into a giant party with children's entertainment on Place de Bruxelles, an unusual discovery of the city's Place Royale (10 am-7pm) and brass bands throughout the city and so much more.

It’s at 15:30 pm that the serious things can begin. The military parade! Appointment at 3.30 pm for the review of military troops by the King along Rue de la Loi. The parade will begin at 4:00 pm with a small novelty and no lesser, a flight over the city by three fighter planes (only the best for you my dear) that will color the city sky of black, yellow and red! 🛩🇧🇪

If you want to play it like a Colonel (not Mustard huh), follow the procession that starts Rue de la Loi, cross Rue Royale, go through Place des Palais, and end at Rue Ducale around 5 pm.

A little craving, or a big one? Go to the Resto National for the traditional Mussels and Fries, fresh of course! We advise you to book your table here, before all the mussels are eaten! This is happening Place du Jeu de Balles from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Are Fanfares your thing? 🎺 It's all good, there are all over the city, enough to wait until the highlight of the show that comes a little bit later...

What a light explosion! 

We know that you've been waiting for this since the beginning, but as we say, save the best for the end, right? After strolling through the city and having fun all day, it's time to go to Place des Palais (access only via Rue Royale and Place Royale) to party with your friends and wait patiently for 11:00 pm, the time where the big final firework’s first rockets hit the sky 🎆
